We made something

Every star in the night sky has been burning for millions of years. We thought that was a pretty good place to put a name.
It started with a gift we couldn't find
We wanted to give someone something meaningful. Not another candle. Not a card that would get thrown away. Something that said: you matter, and the universe knows it.
We looked for star naming gifts that felt right — personal, beautiful, backed by real sky data — and nothing quite fit. Most were paper certificates with coordinates no one could ever verify. Cheap, forgettable.
So we built something better.

Every star on Still Shining is drawn from real astronomical catalogues — the same data used by observatories and planetariums. When someone receives their star, they can take a telescope to their backyard (or just step outside on a clear night) and look exactly where we say it is. It's there. It's always been there.

The certificate we generate isn't a template. It's built fresh for every gift — a rendered star map centred on your chosen constellation, with the exact right stars in the right positions on the exact date you chose.
