About Still Shining
Still Shining is operated by Artico International Pty Ltd (ABN available on request), trading as Still Shining, a company registered in Australia. By using this website or purchasing a gift, you agree to these terms.
What you're buying
Star naming through Still Shining is a symbolic and personal gift. The stars in our catalogue are real astronomical objects with verified coordinates from the Hipparcos star catalogue — a scientific mission by the European Space Agency. However, star naming through Still Shining is not recognised by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) or any other scientific or governmental body. The name you choose is registered in the Still Shining Registry only.
Digital delivery
Your gift is delivered instantly via email and a unique web link. There are no physical goods. Once your gift is created, the gift link and certificate are immediately available.
Payment
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as Merchant of Record. Prices are displayed in your local currency at checkout. All prices are subject to change without notice. Applicable taxes (including GST where applicable) are calculated and collected by Lemon Squeezy at the point of sale.
Your licence
On purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, personal-use licence to the certificate image and star page associated with your registration. You may print and share your certificate for personal use. Commercial resale, sublicensing, or redistribution of Still Shining certificates or content is not permitted.
Star registration
Each star in our catalogue can only be registered once. Once a star name is submitted, it cannot be changed. Please review your star name and dedication carefully before completing your purchase.
Accuracy and limitations
Celestial coordinates in our catalogue are sourced from the Hipparcos star catalogue and are astronomically accurate. The sky-finder feature uses your device's GPS and gyroscope — accuracy depends on your device's sensors and location permissions. Still Shining does not guarantee that every device will support the full sky-finder experience.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Still Shining's liability for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the purchase price paid. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Intellectual property
The Still Shining name, brand, certificate designs, website content, and star registry are the property of Artico International Pty Ltd. All rights reserved.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
